COMMON PHRASES 1
"If your friends all jump off a cliff, would you too?"
This phrase is commonly used by many adults when they tell you not to be a sheep.
Basically, when they tell you not to follow the crowd...
Sheep just follow each other everywhere because
But, with the situation of jumping off a cliff, which we all know is definitely, completely unsafe, we wouldn't follow each other.
Or will we???
Using statistics from every school in the world, there is at least some form of following your friends to do something bad.
Like stealing, or escaping school, or vandalising.
The truth is that, though many people like to make memes out of this, we really would NOT jump off cliffs if our friends do.
That is WAY too dangerous.
Parents should NOT be comparing things that your friends do, which are not so dangerous, to jumping off cliffs.
It just isn't balanced.
In my opinion, you do NOT need to take this phrase seriously in everyday life.
A "Don't do what your friends do!" is more effective than this phrase.
THE END GOODNIGHT DON'T JUMP OF CLIFFS AND DIE.
